In this paragraph, I’m going to discuss a few reasons how does diabetes happen and how you can avoid and prevent. Firstly if i’m tell you, Millions of people die every year due to the deadly disease of diabetes. Diabetes can trigger any fatal disease in the human body. To make people aware of this, World Diabetes Day is celebrated on 14 November every year. There is a special reason behind celebrating Diabetes Day on 14 November.
History
In 1922, a scientist named Federic Benting invented insulin for the prevention of diabetes. November 14 is the birth date of the WHO and the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) started celebrating as World Diabetes Day in 1991. Diabetics are given additional doses of insulin because Insulin converts sugar into energy in the blood. When the pancreas does not work properly, the blood cells do not get enough energy. Then insulin works to make energy from sugar.
Reasons of increasing sugar
Experts believe that there are many reasons for increasing sugar in the blood. Eating more junk food, more sugar syrup, high protein content and less glycemic stuff can increase sugar level. However, All this blame is on our bad lifestyle.
Avoidance
To avoid the risk of diabetes, we should consume green leafy vegetables. Eat things like spinach, bitter gourd, broccoli, carrots, fenugreek, cabbage, tomatoes, asparagus, cucumber, green beans and bathua. All these things are very beneficial in diabetes. Most importantly, The antioxidants present in them keep your heart and eyes healthy.
If the sugar level in the blood increases then Vegetables with high starch should not be eaten. After that, One should avoid eating things like potato, cauliflower, maize, bean pod, peas, chickpeas, lentils, pumpkin, turnip and sweet potato in case of diabetes.
Tips to control sugar
To keep blood sugar under control, it is advisable to eat fruits with low carbs. You are advised to eat avocado, blackberry, raspberry, melon, strawberry, blueberry, lemon, coconut, olive, star fruit, plum, kiwi, cherry, peach and guava.
Nuts like almond-nut are not only good for your cardiovascular health, but they also balance the sugar level in the blood. Omega-6 is found in nuts like almonds, walnuts, pecans, macadamia, cashews and peanuts, which are very beneficial for the body.
Those who are fond of eating meat and fish should include vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids in the diet. It has great benefits to the body in diabetes. Salmon, sardine, shrimp and trout are the most omega-3 fatty acids found in fish. Avoid eating red meat.
Prevention of Diabetes
Diabetic patients should use smooth substances like ghee, oil, refined very carefully. Use oils or fats that are anti-inflammatory saturated. Avoid eating pro-inflammatory polyunsaturated oils or fats.
Egg and dairy products are beneficial for health, but nowadays different types of chemicals are being used in them, so be cautious. It would be better if you can leave milk. Instead, include things like yogurt or cheese in the diet.
